Life in Bomb Shelters Under Bombardment in a War 90% of Israelis Support

We begin in Israel and speak with Ori Goldberg, an Israeli author, academic, and political commentator. A former university professor who has written extensively on Iran, Israel and the relationship between religion and politics in the Middle East, he is currently an independent Israeli political analyst. He writes regularly for New Lines Magazine where his latest articles include “Larijani Shows Israel Is Addicted to Pointless, Flashy Assassinations” and “Israel Can’t Maintain a Long War With Iran, and the US Isn’t Interested.” We discuss what life is like in Tel Aviv having to repeatedly retreat to bomb shelters while scrambling for food at supermarkets but, according to Ori, 90% of Israelis support this misbegotten war and their long-serving corrupt and egomaniacal leader Benjamin Netanyahu.

An Update on the Story Trump Has Waged a War to Distract Us From

Then with Trump’s war on Iran seen by many as a way to distract attention from the Epstein files, we examine the FBI/DoJ cover up underway protecting Trump from whatever is in the 3 million files that Patel and Bondi are hiding or perhaps have already shredded. Joining us for an update is Nina Burleigh, a senior editor at The New Republic, best-selling author, documentary producer, and publisher of the substack American Freakshow. A professor at New York University’s Arthur J. Carter Journalism Institute, she’s written seven books, the latest of which include Golden Handcuffs: The Secret History of Trump’s Women, and she has a new novel, Turn Around Don’t Drown. She is the Producer of a documentary series on Apple TV, “Epstein’s Shadow” and we discuss her article at American Freakshow, “The Epstein Accords Part One: The Road to Riyadh.”
