Trump Trashes the Countries of the World at the UN in Front of the World’s Leaders
We begin with the embarrassing performance by the leader of the free world and President of the United States before the world’s leaders at the UN General Assembly today in which he whined about when he had bid as a developer, he didn’t get the contract to renovate the UN. While boasting to the world’s leaders about his fantastic achievements in bringing about a “golden age” in America, he trashed most of the rest of the world that the diplomats gathered represent, saying “your countries are going to hell.” Joining us is Dulcie Leimbach, the founder of PassBlue, which she edits and writes, covering primarily the United Nations, peacekeeping operations and women’s issues. Previously, she was an editor for the Coalition for the UN Convention Against Corruption; was the publications director of the United Nations Association of the USA, and was an editor at The New York Times for more than 20 years.
The Deadly Consequences of Trump’s Lies and Quackery As He Announces a “Cure” For Autism
Then, we follow up on Trump’s promise at Charlie Kirk’s memorial that “tomorrow, we’re gonna have one of the biggest announcements, really, medically, I think, in the history of our country, we’re gonna be doing it with Bobby and Oz, and all of the professionals. I think you’re gonna find it… to be amazing. I think we found an answer to autism.” Joining us to expose the absurdity and deadly consequences of Trump’s lie is Arthur Caplan, Professor of Bioethics and Director of the Division of Medical Ethics at NYU Langone Medical Center’s Department of Population Health and head of the Division of Medical Ethics at the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. He is the author or editor of 32 books on topics of bioethics and health care and is a commentator for WebMD/Medscape and has an article at Stat News we discuss, “The U.S. government has jumped the public health shark. Americans cannot trust the federal government’s health advice.”

Then finally we assess what Trump offered the UN today in terms of ending wars in Ukraine and in particular, Gaza and speak with Maha Nassar, Professor of Modern Middle East History and Islamic Studies at The University of Arizona. A cultural and intellectual historian of the twentieth-century Arab world with a focus on Palestinian history, she is the author of Brothers Apart: Palestinian Citizens of Israel and the Arab World and she has an article at The Conversation, “UK and other Western nations recognize Palestinian state ahead of UN meetings – but symbolic action won’t make statehood happen.”
