Trump and Miller’s National Security Directive NSPM-7 Outlaws the Common Beliefs of Over Half of the Country
We begin with a frightening move that has gone under the radar by Trump and Stephen Miller to outlaw and defund political opposition as “Anti-Christian” and “Anti-American,” in the name of dismantling “left wing terrorism” which means going after over half of the country’s common beliefs that don’t align with Stephen Miller’s extreme political paranoia and delusion. Joining us is Ken Klippenstein, an independent journalist reporting on the U.S. national security state and politics. He previously was an investigative reporter at The Intercept, prior to that was the D.C. Correspondent at The Nation and a senior reporter for The Young Turks. He now publishes a popular Substack at kenkleppenstein.com where he has a recent article we discuss, “Trump’s NSPM-7 Labels Common Beliefs as Terrorist “Indicators.”
Trump Is More the Latin American Caudillo Than the European Fascists of the 1930’s
Then we examine Trump’s address to the country’s admirals and generals in which he appeared to call for a civil war targeting what he calls “the enemy within” while suggesting Democratic-led U.S. cities should be training grounds for the military. Joining us is Stephen Marche, a novelist and culture writer who has written for The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New Yorker, Esquire, and many other outlets. His recent books include, The Next Civil War: Dispatches from the American Future, and The Last Election, co-authored with Andrew Yang. His latest article at The Independent is, “The reaction to Charlie Kirk’s murder proves America is closer than ever to its next civil war.”
