Joining us to discuss Trump’s hasty, half-backed efforts at diplomacy with North Korea, the Taliban and now Iran, along with Hegseth’s shameful effort to cover up U.S. casualties is Adam Weinstein, the Deputy Director of the Middle East Program at the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft. Since Russia’s war in Ukraine, Georgia’s ruling party has installed an escalating series of repressions mirroring the Kremlin, but at a much faster rate. Most recently, Amnesty International and European and international human rights groups called out Georgia’s backsliding democracy and human rights abuses as persistent pro-democracy demonstrations for 607 days now have been brutally policed. Joining Anna from Georgia is Gota Chanturia, an education activist who co-founded a nascent Social Democratic political party in a country where the ruling regime jails opposition party leaders.
