Trump Bought Into Netanyahu’s War Against the Advice of His Top Intel and Military Officials
We begin with reporting from the Wall Street Journal that Trump was warned against starting a war with Iran by his top Intelligence and Military advisors but after a February 11 presentation from Israel’s PM, Trump said “sounds good to me”, then when others in the situation room brought up the many downsides, Netanyahu told them inaction was a greater risk than action. Joining us is Gregory Treverton, a senior adviser with the Transnational Threats Project at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a professor of the practice of international relations at the University of Southern California. He has served in government for the first Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, handling Europe for the National Security Council, and was chairman of the National Intelligence Council from 2014 to 2017. His books include Dividing Divided States, Beyond the Great Divide: Relevance and Uncertainty in National Intelligence and Science for Policy.

An environmental health expert, Dr. Wilson works to educate communities about fighting data centers and he has worked with the EPA, the CDC, and many activist coalitions.
